Overall Tournament Weight Rankings

The results are in and overall weight rankings are official. Alan Stubblefield with Southwestern Energy holds onto the overall tournament Big Fish leaderboard from yesterday’s big fish.

Below is a list of the overall winners of the tournament during the past two days of the Texas Oilman’s Bass Invitational.

Congratulations everyone!

1st Place - Billy Hakes and Bobby Logon 41.11 lbs.

2nd Place – Mike Mahan and Dan Fowler, 37.50 lbs.

3rd Place – Britt Cavalier and Hunter Parra, 37.01 lbs.

4th Place – Joseph Lopez and Christopher Lopez, 34.97 lbs.

5th Place – Donald Romero and Larry Verret, 33.59 lbs.

Day Two – Biggest Fish and Biggest Stringer of 5 Fish

First place on day two for the biggest fish was Britt Cavalier and Hunter Parra. They also were the first team to weigh-in today. Great job guys! Biggest fish weighed in at 8.38 lbs. and the stringer weight was 21.91 lbs.

Tournament Results from Day One are in and they are official. What an amazing day of fishing!

The TOBI Command Center Team did a great job tallying all the results and the winner of Day One is Alan Stubblefield of Southwestern Energy. Wt. 9.23 lbs. Congratulations Alan.

The top five fish of the day are as follows:

1st Place – Alan Stubblefield and Ray Stubblefield, 9.23 lbs.

2nd Place – Billy Hakes and Bobby Logon, 9.00 lbs.

3rd Place – Andre Ballard, and Robert Green, 8.92 lbs.

4th Place – Shane Tate and Howard Beetz, 8.30 lbs.

5th Place – David Turner and Lyle Harper, 7.08 lbs.

Although the day was filled mostly with rain, more than 400 fishermen braved the cold to hunt the largest string of 5 fish. Below is the list of the top five stringers of the day.

1st Place – Shane Tate and Howard Beetz (above) 24.63 lbs.

2nd Place – Mike Mahan and Dan Fowler, 21.27 lbs.

3rd Place – Billy Hakes and Bobby Logon, 20.50 lbs.

4th Place – Joseph Lopez and Christopher Lopez, 19.85 lbs.

5th Place – Jackie Stephens and John Stephens, 17.96 lbs.

Cypress Bend Fishing Pier

Some people might think that these anglers are crazy for getting out in this cold, rainy weather to go bass fishing. Well, I am sure if you ask any of them “What are you thinking?” they would most certainly reply “Our cause is worth it.” I hope the fish are biting and everyone is staying warm. Keep checking in, we should have the results of the weigh-in soon.
